School Readiness

We help little learners get school-ready with fun support for following instructions, using pencils and scissors, sitting for mat time, opening lunchboxes, and handling changes in routine — all to build confidence for a great start at school!

Executive Functioning

We help children build important thinking skills like planning, organising, starting tasks, staying focused, and managing their time and behaviour — all to support learning, independence, and everyday success.

Sensory Processing

We help children process and respond to sensory input—like sights, sounds, and textures—so they can stay calm, focused, and engaged in daily activities, while effectively managing sensitivities in their environment.

Emotional Regulation

We help children understand and manage their emotions, teaching strategies to stay calm, express feelings appropriately, and build resilience in challenging situations.

We help children gain independence in essential daily tasks, including dressing, eating, toileting, and personal hygiene, building their confidence and life skills for everyday routines.

Play & Social Skills

We help children develop essential social skills through play, focusing on building friendships, turn-taking, problem-solving, and learning to navigate social situations, all while supporting their sensory, emotional, and motor needs for better engagement

Services We Provide

Individual Sessions

We come to your child’s home or school - places where they feel most comfortable. Working in these natural environments helps us better understand their needs and makes therapy more effective. Plus, it saves you the time and hassle of traveling to a clinic! Therapy is seamlessly integrated into your child’s daily routines, supporting the development of their motor skills, cognitive abilities, and emotional well-being. Sessions typically last 45 minutes and are scheduled weekly or fortnightly, depending on what works best for your child.

Assessments

We provide a variety of assessments to gain a clear understanding of your child’s needs, including those required for NDIS eligibility. Our occupational therapist will evaluate your child’s development using standard tests and observations. This helps us set meaningful goals and create a personalised therapy plan. After the assessment, we’ll discuss the best therapy options for your child. We work closely with families to ensure the goals we set are aligned with what matters most to you.

Check-in Support

Ongoing therapy isn’t always needed, but you might still want support at home or at school. We offer one-off sessions, either with you as a parent, together with your child, or as a school visit, focused on practical, easy-to-use strategies you can implement straight away.

OT Equipment Trial & Rental Program

We offer therapist-led equipment trials so families can confidently explore sensory and adaptive supports in everyday environments; at home, school and during daily routines.

Rather than purchasing equipment without knowing if it will suit your child, our short-term trials allow you to see what truly supports their focus, regulation, posture and participation. All items are carefully selected by experienced paediatric OTs for practical, real-world use.

To learn more or book a trial, visit the Equipment Trial & Rental Program page via the dropdown menu or get in touch to enquire.

Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist

BSc (OT), Curtin University

Hi, I’m Jess Zurhaar - a Paediatric Occupational Therapist passionate about helping little people achieve big things by building their confidence and independence through fun, purposeful therapy.

With years of experience working with both early intervention and school-aged children, I support children with a range of needs, some including Autism, ADHD, Developmental Coordination Disorder, and Global Developmental Delay.

I believe there is no ā€œone-size-fits-allā€ approach to therapy. That's why I tailor each plan to suit the unique needs of every child. I love problem-solving and finding creative, practical solutions that make therapy meaningful and fun. Empowering parents and teachers with strategies and tools to support children's development at home and school is also a key part of my approach.

I help children develop essential skills such as school readiness, fine and gross motor skills, handwriting, motor planning, executive functioning, attention, as well as sensory and emotional regulation. With a reputation for being resourceful and creative, I ensure therapy is engaging and relevant to each child's everyday life.

My approach is child-led, neuro-affirming, and family-centred with a focus on fostering independence, confidence, and joy in everything children do.

When I’m not working, you can find me spending time with my family, friends, and my cheeky dogs, Alfred and Baxter.
